Welcome to

1740(Clydebank) Squadron ATC

RAF AIR CADETS

The RAF Air Cadets was officially formed on 5th February 1941, as a military youth organisation, focused on developing the Pilots of the future. Since then a lot has changed and the range of activities on offer has diversified. The corps now builds the leaders of tomorrow and gives skills for everyday life.

ACTIVITIES

As an Air Cadet, you can get involved in a wide range of activities including Flying, Sports, Shooting, Adventure Training and much more.

The Air Cadets is committed to building futures so you will also achieve BTEC qualifications that give UCAS points and other 'civilian' qualifications.

NEWS

We are currently recruiting new cadets!

If you are 12 years old and in S1, and or below the age of 18, you are welcome to come along.

ABOUT US

Our squadron number is 1740, and we are a part of West Scotland Wing Air Cadets. We are based in Clydebank and we are a recognised Scottish Charity - No SC024669.

We are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45 pm until 9:30 pm and have lots of weekend activities for you to get involved with as well.

All of our staff are volunteers and we have to fundraise to fund the activities and equipment. The RAF sponsor the buildings and some of the uniform so that all of the money we raise goes directly to the activities for the cadets.
